HP 17-bs0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The Left hinge on my HP laptop has broken afte about a year and a half of mild use. It mostly sits on the table ordesk and gets opened and closed a few times a day.

It was sticky for awhile and today it just poped open the left side of the screen and seems totally frozen. ANy way to get this fixed? I don't want to drop anothe 500 or more on a new computer.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

I also have the same laptop model. This began more than 6 months ago on my right hinge and now yesterday my left hinge is also becoming loose. I can't close my laptop at all and doing so causes my screen to lift up from the keyboard. I don't use my laptop everyday and I don't close it because of the right hinge.

I’m out of warranty so I can’t contact support and have them help me   My problem began just after my warranty expired.

My 17-bs0xx's left hinge has broken with mild use, and is out of warranty, too.

Is there any support that can be offered to me in this situation? I'd hate to have to pay to repair it when it seems to be a common issue.

Thank you!
