ZBOOK 15u G6 7QG57PA#ABG
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, on 5 separate occasions my zbook 15u G6 has shutdown due to low power, i.e. the battery is discharging, even though the unit was plugged in to a functioning wall socket. Any ideas?

if you are using the power brick that came with your laptop, that should not happen... in general, by default the battery will continue to charge to at least 90% and then trickle charge... However, even if the laptop didn't completely shutdown, if the power adapter is plugged in, it should not discharge the battery... It sounds as if the charger is not charging correctly

Run HP Image Assistant and update BIOS and drivers, then go into the BIOS and in the admin menu, find the 'battery health manager' setting and set it to 'let hp manage my battery health' for best long term performance

I would also recommend you install (if not already there) the HP System Defaults Setting Softpaq to set up a 'HP Optimized' power profile to help get the most battery out of a charge
