Hi my hp (dw4001 nt) battery drain while plugged in gaming is that normal or my charger is bad

Hi.

 

This sounds like a charger problem. Under heavy usage your laptop eats more power than what is supplied. Has this problem been there from the beginning or did it start suddenly?

 

I'd recommend troubleshooting this first with another charger.

There may also be charging or battery related fixes in BIOS firmware pack, so upgrade BIOS as well.
