Product: hp elitebook 8460p
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

When the laptop goes into sleep mode, or when the lid is shut I have to remove plug and battery to cut off the laptop and then in order to turn it on I have to press the little browser butten that looks like a little globe as pressing the power butten will not turn on the laptop. I then get the Bios 501 error. 

 

I have tried to update the bios through the HP solutions program but when it takes me to update the bios I have to enter a admin password and I don't know it. Help please.

 

Windows 7 pro 64 bit sp1

model 8460p
