Bios Password

HP Recommended
Probook 450 g4
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am an Cleint Support Specialist and a part time tech/consultant and I was helping a friend clear out a house and came across this laptop. I asked him could I have it and he told yes. I went to reimage it and it is asking for a bios password, i want to reimage and maybe keep it or sell. How do i go about getting rid of the bios password or can I reset it to something I created?  Please help.......

The Probook is a business class laptop with tighter security than consumer class. Only HP Tech Support can help with clearing a BIOS password and they usually require proof of ownership.

I found it in an house that my friend purchased in a foreclosure and I don't know who or what company owns it.

Support page for it offers a download for a System Restore Disk. About the only hope is that some of these will let you tap Esc at power on to bring up a startup menu. From there if you have option of F9 Boot Options you may be able to boot from Restore disk.
