We have our laptops using the tb g2 docks. Everything was great until recently, a few of our users experienced a black screen at undocking. Any thoughts?

first thing i would do is update the dock's firmware - 184.108.40.206 - https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp93001-93500/sp93495.exe
then, run HP Image Assistant (www.hp.com/go/clientmanagement) and update the BIOS (if needed) and drivers
