I set up my brand new Spectre out of the box today and it's so hot I can't even keep it on my lap. I am really unhappy to see that the forums on this go back years, has HP actually not solved this? I am unable to work with this machine, it's almost too hot to touch after 30 mins of set up! I have only owned Dell XPS for the last 10 years and I am so sorry I waited so long to get this. I can't think of any reason to accept this and am asking for return authorization.
