Is there a way to change the serial number in the BIOS on these machines?

I don't know why it's necessary to change the BIOS serial number.  However, read this thread.

HP Envy 17", i7-8550u,16GB, 512GB NVMe, 4K screen, Windows 11 x64

Hi,

Changed motherboard.  Software says it's no longer licensed.  Don't have the reinstall media, I believe it's keying off the system serial #.

Is there any way to get this machine out of UEFI mode so I can actually use this utility?
