This started as feint cracks in the area of the charging port. I wonder if it is caused by heat from the charging port. I sent it off for repair and it came back from HP saying is is cosmetic damage and out of scope for warranty repair. On return from the engineer, the feint cracks were more pronounced and then after sitting on my desk for 8 hours and charging my phone, this 1cm x 0.5cm plastic chip just drops out. Anyone else had this issue?

Do you have a picture? If there are multiple people with this issue, it has to be a design flaw. I literally unpacked the desktop, put it on my desk and it hasn't moved. The hair line cracks appeared after 6 months and then this before one year of owning it. I won't buy a HP again if this isn't put right.

HP Pavilion AIO - D0014-27
I noticed this yesterday, after the chip popped out. The crack has probably been there awhile, and was hard to see due to the black color of the base. I am sending my All In One in, and they will decide if they will fix it or if they want me to pay to fix it. I have already been asked twice if I dropped the computer. Trust me, this is a larger All-In-One, and it does not move anywhere. It has not been moved since I set it up. This AIO will be a year old in a month.
