I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with HP's customer service regarding my HP Pavilion AMD Ryzen 7 4700U-108p laptop. I recently discovered a HUGE crack near the hinge of the laptop, severely impacting its functionality.
Despite my efforts to explain that the laptop has not been mishandled, HP's response was utterly unsatisfactory. They callously dismissed my concerns, stating that the laptop is out of warranty and therefore, they cannot offer any assistance.
This response is unacceptable. It's outrageous that HP refuses to acknowledge a clear defect in their product. As a loyal customer who has invested in HP products for years, I am appalled by this lack of accountability and disregard for customer satisfaction.
The fact that the laptop is out of warranty should not absolve HP of responsibility for the poor quality of their product. This experience has severely tarnished my trust in HP, and I am left with a useless laptop that I paid hard-earned money for.
I demand immediate action from HP to rectify this situation. Whether it be a replacement unit, repair service, or some other form of compensation, HP must take responsibility for their defective product and provide a satisfactory resolution.
If this matter is not addressed promptly and effectively, I will have no choice but to take further action to ensure that my rights as a consumer are upheld. There are many complaints of this online as well.

Hi @TiffRiley77,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
I understand that this is a Hardware issue. However, the support here is limited to software troubleshooting. Since the unit might need repair, I would request you to contact HP Phone support who can schedule a repair as per the warranty and the issue can be fixed.
For that to happen, we will give you additional instructions/information via Private Message.
Please check your inbox on the forums page for the private message.
If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
