Two weeks ago, I ordered a brand-new HP EliteBook 840 G10 Notebook with the HP Small and Medium Business Department in the U.S. The product arrived with no supporting documentation enclosed: no HP product information, no HP Worldwide Limited Warranty and Technical Support or something that would, at least, indicate on what has arrived in the box. I am not talking about the lengthy or thick User Guide that you can download online, I am talking about the basic manufacture/product information that is usually enclosed with the product in the sealed manufacture’s package. The additional HP 3 Year Next Business Day Onsite Warranty was not delivered as well, neither by mail nor email. Though, I did not consent to (paperless) electronic delivery at all.
A week later, after the notebook had been delivered, the battery issue was detected. The notebook (at the bottom/around the keyboard), adaptor, and hard drive connected directly to the notebook, got extremely hot while I was running basic tasks. Not to mention, that I found a scratch on the surface of the “brand-new” notebook.
The “brand-new premium class” notebook arrived defective with no manufacture’s documentation enclosed. I would have never expected this from the global company. Very Disappointed!
