Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Do not buy HP product number 1A406UA#ABA laptop.  Very , very,  very slow .  It can not keep up with fast typing at all.  Click to open e-mail app on task bar and takes a minute or two to open.  Literally really does. Start up 3-4 minutes at least.  Nothing more than an expensive paper weight.  Web browser takes a minute or two to open.  Stay away from.

Hello @chickenout

Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... I would like to help you.

Could you please explain exactly what the problem is and what has been done so far, so that one can understand the case.

Kind regards

Hello @chickenout

The Windows file system could be corrupt or there is a hard disk error or undefined sofware or technical error.

@chickenout

It is an HP Notebook - 15-dw0081wm machine. Its specs

         https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06620365

As you can see, it has

  • a bottom end CPU, which is  an Intel® Pentium® Silver N5000 (1.1 GHz base frequency, up to 2.7 GHz burst frequency, 4 MB cache, 4 cores)
  • a very low HDD:  500 GB 5400 rpm SATA
  • and a small amount of RAM: 4 GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM (1 x 4 GB)

It's slow by nature. Well what do you think ? You can pay more money to upgrade it or buy a new, better machine. Which way do you prefer ?

Regards.
