Microsoft Windows 11

Hi!

I have an HP Elite Thunderbolt 3 65 Wt docking station and a Lenovo ThinkPad x13 Gen 2 laptop. It doesn't want to work with my laptop. I used to have a Lenovo ThinkPad T480s laptop and it worked well with this docking station. But now I can't use my dual-monitor home workplace because the new laptop doesn't see the docking station. My new laptop ThinkPad X13 Gen 2 only supports Thunderbolt 4. I know version 4 and version 3 are backward compatible. I made a test on other docking stations of my friends and colleagues. Their versions of the Thunderbolt 3 docks work with my Thunderbolt 4 port. Is there any firmware update for this dock that will make my dock compatible with my new laptop?

Thank you,

Tim

Did you recently try testing your HP Elite Thunderbolt 3 65 Wt docking station on another laptop to see if it is a hardware issue with the docking station?

HP Recommended

Yes, I did. It works correctly with my ThinkPad T480s (it have TB 3 port only). But doesn't work with my ThinkPad X13 Gen 2 (It have TB 4 port only).

It should actually be able to work with your new laptop since Thunderbolt 4 ports are backward-compatible making it easier to connect with old thunderbolt 3 docking stations.

You could try contacting HP to see whether they can work something out for you.

I can't.  The site does not find information on my docking station. It says that no product with this serial number was found.
