Hello, I have an HP envy and looking at the battery it is bulging across its length in three places by around 4-5 mm.
I am not clear of photos of this battery whether this is a deliberate design feature, or whether this battery is on the way out and needs replacing.
The bulges are evenly spaced almost as it the battery is divided into three parts.
Does anyone know if this is the battery failing, or how they were originally constructed. The Laptop is a 2016 model with the battery having a 2016/08 date and the disc drive a 2016/09 date.
Thanks

You are welcome.
HP does not carry very many batteries - and those they do carry are usually in stock for a limited time.
I had to purchase a "compatible" battery for my Zbook recently. Meh. Battery is fine.
Stay Safe.
