HP Elite Dragonfly 13.5 inch G3 Notebook PC (4J040AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi. I'm having an issue with HP Power Manager on my Dragonfly G3 notebook and hope somebody can help me. I already searched the forum and tried to google it but didn't find a solution.

I cannot change the battery charge mode from "Let HP Manage My Battery Charging setting" to "Maximize My Battery Health setting". The latter is the one I want to set.

The notebook is constantly in the state "Let HP Manage My Battery Charging setting" despite the setting in HP Power Manager or in the BIOS. Even if I switch to "Maximize My Battery Health setting" in the BIOS, the battery charge mode doesn't change. I also tried uninstalling HP Power Manager and using only the BIOS setting but with no success.

I have read this article (https://support.hp.com/nz-en/document/ish_5180936-5180983-16) and would expect to see a heart symbol next to the battery icon in the system tray when having "Maximize My Battery Health setting" set, but that is never the case (neither with or without installed HP Power Manager nor with using only the BIOS setting).

I'm running Win 11 Pro, 23H2 with the latest updates. All HP apps are up to date. System BIOS is U90 Ver. 01.08.00 - 06/21/2023. I am out of ideas. What else I could do to make this work? Has anyone an idea what's wrong?
