When I connect my EliteBook 840 G5 laptop to a HP USB-C Dock G4, I hear the laptop making a sound finding new hardware. Then the mousepointer disapears, the keyboard (USB and laptop) stops functioning.
And the 2 HP monitors stay in stand by mode. The screen on the laptop is stil working
This always worked, but I get new messages daily from collegues who got this problem since this month.
We have 500 Dockings, en 700 Elitebooks from series G2 to G6 available at my work.
We just finished updating laptops to Windows 10 20H02 or 2004.
I updated the firmware of the docking, And Updated a laptop to Windows 10 21H1.
Checked windows update, incl. the optional updates. Latest firmware installed. But nothing works.
Does anyone have this problem after updating the laptops? Is there a fix for this?
I really don't know what to do to fix the issue. Can't find much info about this problem online.
