Product: Elitebook 1040 G5
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Does anyone have experiences concerning USB C Powerdelivery on Elitebboks and the use of a powerbank? Specifically i would like to know what power (voltage, ampere) ist needed from a powerbank to reliably charge this notebook.

HP has a usb-c power bank avaiable that you can use: https://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-usb-c-notebook-power-bank

 

THe usb-c standard has power profiles that allows up to 100W of power to be delivered across the usb cable and usb-c connector... Most power banks and supplies will NOT provide 100W (20V at 5amps) as that requires significant cable thickness and short cable... Most power supplies/power banks (designed for laptops) will provide either 15V/5ams (65Watts) or 20V/3amps (60Watts)... The usb-c PD power profile has, i believe 4 or 5 voltages, from 5V to 20V

 

THe elitebook x360 1040 g5 should probably take in both 15V and 20V versions to power/charge the battery
