Hi, I have a company provided HP Elitebook 640 G9. I usually work with an External display. A few weeks back, my USB type C port stopped working and today my HDMI port also stopped working. Do I have any other options to get connected with my external display? The external monitor supports, USB C type, HDMI and Display port. Any advice will be much appreciated.

Hello,

First, shouldn't you ask your employer for a replacement instead of working around the problems? They're supposed to provide working tools for the employees.

Your HDMI and USB-C (Alt Mode) are driven by the same GPU, have you tried updating the drivers?

If you still have working USB A ports, you can use display adapter cables based on DisplayLink technology. Check the DisplayLink Products list webpage for what's available.
