Product: HP EliteBook 820 G1 Base Model Notebook PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an Elitebook from 2015 that is still one of the better laptops I have used, however the Displayport socket has broken.

 

So, first thought was to try to replace that only somehow, then I thought of maybe replacing the whole motherboard and then stepping up to a G3 maybe? 

 

is that possible? are they compatible in the same "shell" so to speak?
