elitebook 850 g6
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The notebook doesn't turn on, I have tried unplugging the battery and try to turn it on with just the power cable, when the power cable is plugged in, it flashes white & orange. Tried a different power cable as well.

Have tried using a different boot drive and reseated the memory and battery connector a few times as well.

This assumes the laptop starts, it doesn't start at all.

hello,

just follow the instructions, there is a reset possible when you remove the battery and power cable and hold the power button for 15 seconds.

I don't know the history of your elitebook. Did you update the bios before ? If so, you can try to rollback it.

best regards

Hello,

if you are familiar with electrical engineering, take a multimeter for measuring the output of the power supply unit. On the backside of the power supply unit you will find the output voltage (V) that should be present. The font is sometimes very small to read, use a magnifying glass.

The simplest problem could unexpectedly be the power supply unit, which could be defective and thus the battery has run out.

! Check also !

If you remove all the ram and try to switch on/boot, does it emit beeps? Insert the ram correctly again and try to switch on/boot.

best regards
