Hi,

Hope someone can help, I have a G5 840 that for some reason wont turn on consistently.

If it doesn't turn on by pressing the button you have to hold it down  for 30 seconds then it will reset itself and turn on, it will be fine for the next few cycles then if left overnight it wont turn on.

It has a fresh install on windows 11 with the latest BIOS version from the HP website.

I have  checked the battery connection and its fine, if I disconnect the battery and plug back in starts straight away.

If it is plugged in it still does the same.

It has no additional programs on it, just win 11 and HP assistant.

Any help appreciated, its very frustrating!
