Elitebook X360 1030 G3 with Thunderbolt Dock 120W G2 login problems

Elitebook X360 1030 G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We have 100 of these Elitebooks and G2 Docks in house. We have applied all the latest software, firware, and BIOS to both the X360 and the Dock. In the BIOS we have unchecked Deep Sleep.


When one of my staff takes the laptop to a boardroom or home and comes back in and connects to the dock the only way they can log in is by opening the lid of the laptop and unlocking it. Is this normal?
