Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello all,
when updating to the latest BIOS 01.07.03, on the Elitebook x360 1040 G8 and PXE boot we can no longer do PXE boot with other network accessories e.g.with the Lenovo USB-c and ITEC CADUA4KDOCKPDL docking stations.

It seems that when we apply the latest BIOS update  01.07.03 (https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp136501-137000/sp136621.exe) we are no longer able to perform a wired PXE boot.

On our devices the UEFI NW Boot option disappears when using a LENOVO USB-C adapter or the Itec CADUA4KDOCKPDL docking station.

The only option that is left is called: UEFI N/W -WIFI IPVx Network.

And although it is called N/W-WIFI, the cabled PXE boot is not working at this point. Not with a USB-C dongle nor with a USB-C docking from LENOVO or Itec.

When using the HP- USB-C dongle and/or docking stations, they are working fine with both the old and new BIOS versions. Also the Itec ,non displaylink based, dockings are working correctly.

When we perform a rollback to the previous BIOS version 01.06.02, we again have both options for PXE boot available on all brands of accessories. And this without changing any other BIOS options.

We already asked HP support but off course they claim it is not to the BIOS update or HP material but related to ITEC/Lenovo material.

Did any of you experience a similar kind of issue with this model?

Is there an OEM lock in the BIOS that HP did not tell us about?

thanks,

Dominic

Even with the newest released BIOS 01.08.00 it gives the same issue. I can't imagine no-one else is experiencing similar issues? Or are you all using proprietary devices?
