HP EliteBook x360 1040 G7
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I press shift+F11 on my HP Elitebook, I get a beeping tune like the below. This happens when in Windows, and also in other OS's or even in the bios/uefi I also heard it when upgrading my bios to the latest version. It does not happen if I used a virtual/software keyboard to press shift+f11. It also doesn't seem to be affected by sound settings like muting the audio.

After 60 seconds, a "descending" but similar tune is played.

What is causing this tune to play, and can I stop this from happening? I use shift+f11 frequently.

It sounds like this comes from the internal tile tracker - see reddit thread "HP EliteBook x360 1030 G7 - Weird start-up noise" below - the sound being played is the same, but in my case happens because of shift-f11 & not at boot.

There is an advanced bios option to enable disabling of the tile, and makes shift+f11 not play the tune.

Is there a way to remap tile activation to a different key combo while leaving it enabled?
