Hello,
I have an Elitebook 1040 x360 G7. I am not using it to game, it is strictly for work.
I have a Samsung G9 49inch display and I am unable to get the laptop to display at 5120x1440.
Would anyone know why this is or how I can make it run at that resolution?
I am using an 8K HDMI cable as the source cable.
Thank you!

It has
- 2 USB 3.1 Type-C® with Thunderbolt™ support;
- 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (charging);
- 1 headphone/microphone combo;
- 1 HDMI 1.4b;
- 1 External Nano SIM slot for WWAN
With HDMI 1.4b, you can't get to 5120x1440. You may be able to get 4K with 30Hz. Does you monitor support Thunderbolt™ ?
Regards.
