HP 470 G7
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all,

we got three new HP 470 G7 Notebooks (8VU24EA) and have some  "HP USB-C Universal Dock + power splitter" (2UF95AA) at our workplaces in the office. Because the new HP 470 G7 have no USB-C (which i can't understand in 2020) the "USB C/A Adapter + power splitter" which came with the dock has to be used.

If the new notebooks were connected to the dock the usb connection works properly - everything (USB, DisplayPort, Network etc.) works fine. But the notebooks stop charging a few seconds after connecting the 4.5mm plug of the power splitter.

So if connected they start charging for a moment (Battery level i.e. at 60%) and then just stop charging and start to lose energy from the battery. You can pull the 4.5 plug off and plug in again and again it starts to charge for a short moment.

I tried all 3 new notebooks with different of the docks and power splitters - every time the same effect.

Does anyone have an idea?

Kind regards
Till
