Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,
I am currently facing an issue when trying to install windows 10 from USB key. It fails with a blue screen after initial reboot (1st boot after installation).
Tried everything and found that I might need to upgrade the BIOS.
So I downloaded sp102455.exe which puts the bios in a Hewlett-Packard directory on my usb key.
The  system does not upgrade from the usb key even if I select the option to upgrade the bios locally from the BIOS Menu.
My usb key is brand new and I have no issue booting from it on the same computer with GParted or Clonezilla for example.
I also tried to upgrade from the network (from the BIOS Menu) but it does not find a new bios (while there is one).

How could I upgrade the BIOS knowing that windows is not installed (new SSD)?

@XavierH,

I owned a Probook 650 G1 years ago and did a bios update successfully on it.

A bios update file (sp xxxxx) places an update .bin file in the \Hewlett-Packard\BIOS\current folder on the USB drive. If I remember correctly, the .bin file needs to be in the \BIOS\new folder, so just copy the .bin file from the \current folder and place it in the \new folder and try to update again.

If this doesn't work, there's other way, so let me know how it goes.

take care.
