HP 6710b
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My HP 6710b has the annoying habit of shutting down after each Windows 7 update, rather than restarting (as it should!).  So, after every update, when a restart is required, it totally powers off forcing a manual power up each time. For specs, it is an HP 6710b business laptop, Centrino duo with 4GB RAM and 1TB HD.  Currently  running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. Later, began an upgrade from Win 7 to 10; again, each "restart" was a power off. Thinking the problem may be due to bad memory chips I replaced with a set from another working 6710b; no help.

Would appreciate any help/suggestions. Thanks.
