HP Active Pen G3 for EliteBook 840 G5

I can't find the EliteBook 840 G5 model listed on any compatibility list for the HP Pen G3.
Can someone aproove that the bothe devices are working together?

clamshell devices (non x360 models) do not have a pen digitizer in the panel and therefore only touch is usable (if you have a touch screen)... so, no pen/stylus support on standard laptop models
