HP Envy x 360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Brand new HP ENVY is running web pages very slowly right out of the box.

I've checked to see what processes are running, and other than Task Manager, just Firefox is running, 3 tabs open, memory at 73%.  Likely this is the bottleneck as GPU and HD are at 3% or so.

I'm wondering if this system is a just a slow one, AMD Ryzen versus Intel?  I really like the build quality of the machine, and want to keep it, but since I bought at Costco, returning would be pretty easy.

The type of slow performance I'm experiencing:

typed text on facebook and in search bar entries lags way behind my typing.  I have to wait a second or two when a page or link is clicked before it loads.

I bought this laptop mainly for web browsin g and email. So far that's all I've done.

Any thoughts/advice appreciated!

My machine with 8GB and Task Manager shows with 4 Firefox tabs

Please sort Memory tab to see which one is the culprit
