HP Elitebook 840 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all

I bought an Eizo FlexScan EV3895 for my HP Elitebook 840 G5, but when I connect the notebook via USB-C, the Eizo stays black and the notebook display starts turning off and on continuously. If I use HDMI instead, I don't have this problem.
And if I use both HDMI and USB-C and then unplug the HDMI plug, the notebook switches to USB-C without any problems and displays the desktop in max. resolution 3840x1600. With my macbook from 2019 I don't have this issue.  Is this a known HP issue? Any ideas how to fix that issue.

Regards

Fred

Not all USB-C ports are the same therefore we can say they are not compatible. Your Eizo FlexScan EV3895 has DP port, you can connect  it to a dock such as HP USB-C Gen 5  dock to connect to Eizo FlexScan EV3895 monitor.

Regards.
