I have an HP Envy x360 Laptop PC 15-ed1000 with a broken left hinge. The laptop sits on a desk with little to no movement of the screen. After some research this is a common problem for these laptops. I contacted HP Support and they said they could not cover the repair, because I had customized the build of the laptop by adding additional memory and selecting a different hard drive, which of course has no bearing on HP using an inferior plastic hinge. How can I escalate this issue to get HP to cover the cost of the repair.

Hi @Paul_0123,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
I understand that this is a Hardware issue. Since the unit might need repair, I would request you to contact HP Phone support who can schedule a repair as per the warranty and the issue can be fixed.
For that to happen, we will give you additional instructions/information via Private Message.
