HP 840 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This update automagically installed itself, I only noticed the firmware progress bar after rebooting for a different reason.  After the reboot none of my monitors would switch on.  The things I've tried are:

1) DIsabling gimp mode on the USB Type C G4 dock - no effect

2) Connecting a monitor direct via HDMI - no effect

3) Reinstalling the BIOS - no effect

4) Reinstalling the video driver - no effect

I thought that I'd somehow killed the dock but all of the ports (bar display related) are still working so I'm not sure what's going on!

I forgot to mention that resetting the BIOS also didn't help.

I tried rolling back to 01.07 but the USB Type C firmware part didn't roll back and the problem still exists.   I think it's centred around this.
