HP ProBook 470 G0 BIOS (UEFI) admin password or BIOS reset

Hello,

I am writing to you concerning a HP laptop that landed on my desk a few days ago. One of several actually.

I work in the IT department of a coworking space in Bosnia & Herzegovina. In the last week I have received several used company HP ProBook 470 G0 laptops that needed to be wiped, upgraded with SSDs and redeployed. In order to facilitate the redeployment, the BIOS (UEFI) settings and users (including the BIOS administrator account password) needed to be reset and deleted, as well. I managed to easily accomplish this with the other laptops by gaining access to the BIOS guest account. However, this one laptop in question has the BIOS guest account disabled and I am unable to reset the BIOS administrator’s password or delete any of the "-lpt" user account or access the BIOS (UEFI) settings, in general. I have tried several suggestions I found online including the one suggesting the removal of all power and batteries. It didn’t work. The laptop in question turned out to be a hard nut to crack.

With the old IT team who initially procured and deployed these laptops unavailable to answer questions, I wonder if you could help me?

Is there some way to reset the BIOS (UEFI) to factory settings with some software or maybe a key combination during boot?

I have also read online that you might be able to supply me with a SMC.bin file that I could use to reflash the BIOS (UEFI) back to factory settings with no users.
