HP Probook 640 g1 automatically turns on and then off in 10 seconds

I have a probook 640 g1 and recently it started to black out (as if power supply disconnected  ) much before the login screen (at the windows processing screen). But today, as soon as i plug it to the charger or reset the battery, it starts up on its own without anyone hitting the power button and within 10 seconds ( almost at the boot screen ) it turns off until i reset the battery or power cord. It does not work if i press the power button after this event.

I thought this could be due to faulty power button. So i opened it up and disconnected the power button to check if the problem still persists (to make sure if the problem lies in the power button and not in other hardware) and yess!! It's still there. So i realize that the problem isnt in the power button and some other part. What should I do?
