HP Spectre x360 13.5 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-ef2000 (771X1AV)

I am a PhD student bought a brand new HP Spectre in Iraq and traveled to the UK for my studies. I opened the box myself and activated the laptop with no issues. Nine days later, the laptop died. I called HP's support team in the UK, and they identified the issue as manufacturing-related. However, they asked me to wait until the replacement is approved. Afterward, they instructed me to contact the US team to claim the replacement. The US team again confirmed the issue and instructed me to contact the UK team for the replacement process. The UK team, in turn, directed me back to the US team, who then asked me to provide the Order Number, which I don't have because I purchased the laptop from a reseller in Iraq. After numerous calls to the UK team, they offered only a repair option. However, they mentioned that all my data would be wiped out!

I am still shocked and cannot believe that this is the way HP deals with its customers. I am a PhD student, and everything is stored on this laptop. Although I am entitled to a replacement under the law, I unwillingly accepted the repair. Despite that, HP is not making any consideration my personal data and insisting to wipe them.

Please advise knowing that all these calls are recorded autmaticaaly by my phone. What shall I do now?
