HP EliteBook x360 830 G6 Notebook PC

Hey,

Was hoping someone was able to help or has had something similar. We have a number of the HP TPA-B01 : HP Elite USB-C Docking Stations.

They have been working fine for quite a few months, but in the last month, a number of users have begun experiencing issues with this specific dock model and various HP laptops.

Each issue is the same with the dock freezing, then disconnecting the screens. The event log says a Microsoft-Windows-DriverFrameworks-UserMode

Description:
A problem has occurred with one or more user-mode drivers and the hosting process has been terminated.  This may temporarily interrupt your ability to access the devices, w
ith then the Dock losing connection.

Tried everything driver related or DisplayLink related: updating, downgrading, removing completely. Same for windows/bios updates and versions.

Unistalled and re-installed  USB Controllers.

Power options on the dock and USB controller.

Still, any device with the issue hasn't been able to be resolved without swapping the dock itself to a new model. With that, same combination of laptop and dock will work for most.

Thanks for the help if anyone else has any ideas.
