Hello,

I recently bought a used HP Thunderbolt dock with the 230w power supply. When I got the dock, the connection cable has both the dc barrel plug and TB3 plug as a one wider plug and therefore does not fit my EliteBook 840 G7 (the plug does fit my Zbook 15 G3 wich has the dc plug and TB3 next to one other).

Can I change the cable to a one that would have the dc plug and TB3 as separate connectors? Or better yet, a cable that would only supply power and data via TB3. I saw some pics of cable like this but it seems it is not available to purchase as a separate item. Can this cable even be replaced, or is it soldered to the dock like in so many other docking stations?
