The Thunderbolt dock is new and I experience a similar problem with both an EliteBook 840 G5 and a ZBook 14u G5. The dock is connected to a 4K display @ 60 Hz through its TB port, and a QHD display @ 60 Hz through DP1. Occasionally one of the displays will turn black and will only return to normal after repeatedly re-inserting the thunderbolt cable into the notebook. The problem happens with both notebooks. Sometimes it's the 4K display that goes out and other times its the QHD display. Sometimes a setup will run all day without issues. On other days it will start flaky, and only become steady if I shim the TB cable up with a pencil or something as in attached photo. Thx for any help.
