HP Thunderbolt docking G2 230W
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi together,

I bought the HP Thunderbolt docking G2 230W for working with 2 4K monitors. (U28E590)

Now i got the problem that the docking station only supports 4K (3840x2160) and FullHD (1920x1080).

If i disconnect the monitor with 4K resolution the FullHD resolution switch to 4K. But if both monitors are connected only one will get the full 4K support.

Firmware has been updated to latest versions.

To  check both monitors I connected one to the dock and one to the laptop (ZBook 15 G1) and got 4K on both monitors.

The specification on the shop website told me that 2x4K is possible.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Hello

two 4K monitors are supported , one on the USB-C Thunderbolt port on the right side (looking from back side) , and the second on a DP port.

two 4K monitors connected on the two DP ports will not work as they are on the same hgih speed channel.

bye
