In some situations, my shift key acts like CAPLOC and my 10 key works as arrow keys and not number keys.
Using microsoft remote desktop I seem to always have the problem.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the keyboard is not working correctly.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
Does this happen only with Microsoft remote desktop?
Meanwhile, I recommend you follow the steps in the below article and check if it helps.

The_Fossette saved the day. The website would not even pull up my product.
I know it is not a big part of your market but the website is not very chromebook friendly.
Right now during these trying times and with the need to be connected that may need to change.

It is apparently and recurring problem.
I hope a software update fix is in the works.
With as much of the market as Microsoft has it seems necessary.
I am afraid I see too many cooks with a hand in this.
A hp product with a google os having trouble with a microsoft platform.

Are you still facing the issue? If yes, then make sure that you have the latest Chrome OS on the computer.
Here is how to check.
- Click the bottom right corner of the Chrome OS desktop.
- Select the Settings icon.
- Click About Chrome.
- Click Check for updates.
- To apply the update, click the arrow icon and select Restart to Update.
Let me know how it goes.
Cheers!
