I have a HP zBook 17 G5.  It's two weeks old.

Quadro P3200

32GB RAM

I have an issue where the laptop begins throttling once something process intensive occurs.  E.g. Compiling code in Visual Studio, Building projects in Unreal Engine 4, or simply archiving files with 7 zip.

The laptop goes from 4ghz down to 2.1-2.2 ghz within 10 seconds of starting the task.  It has a base clock of 2.6Ghz so the CPU is throttling.

Sadly I'm not allowed to install any additional software to monitor the temps (corporate IT) so I'm pretty limited on the tools I can use to test the issue more.

Is it common for zBooks to thermal  throttle like this?  I never had an issue like this with my zBook 15 G4.
