Hard drive replaced under warranty - data safety

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

SSD died on my Spectre Pro x360 G2. I've sent it to HP partner to replace it. They say they must return the damaged SSD to HP and they replace it with a new one.

 

My question; is HP committed that data on damaged SSD will not be available to anyone and/or SSD will be destroyed?

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
