Has anyone come across the screen coming away from the frame on a hp pavilion laptop?
I purchased one from Curry's & after 5 months it went back for faulty fan warning, then after 14 months (2 month's out of guarantee) I contacted them to say that my screen had come away & was told that I would most certainly get a free repair & they had seen similar before
They collected it & then said it was a hinge problem & would cost £250. I didn't agree & they sent it back. On opening the lid, 2 brass studs fell out
I tried to claim through Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre quoting "goods not lasting a reasonable length of time" but it was refused because "I could not prove that the hinge was faulty . How can this be?
