HP Laptop PC 15-dw3000 (1A3X9AV)

There are no error messages.  I want to remove current login for the laptop and all associated owners information and redo with new owner information and software logins

Yes, that is correct.

 

The first thing the recovery media will do is to repartition and format the drive to erase the current data.

 

Then it will rebuild the operating system and included HP software.

 

When it is completed, you will be at the point where if you were to have first bought the notebook and turned it on to begin the initial setup process.

Hi:

 

See if the notebook is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool which you can use to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will factory reset the notebook to the condition when it was purchased new.

 

Here is an info link for how to use the utility.  You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive for this.

Thanks this is helpful.  Once this process is completed will i start up the laptop as if it were new and add new user information?
