If opened after a long time, the screen flickers for 10 seconds

This is a hardware problem. Perhaps a faulty capacitor is not providing adequate power for the LED backlight for those few seconds.

 

If you have warranty left, contact HP and have it serviced.

If you don't have warranty left, you can still contact HP, and have it serviced. HP will provide a cost estimate before doing any repairs. The screen replacement will probably be very expensive.
