Good afternoon. I bought a samsung 980 SSD drive and I want to install it in a hewlett packard 1040 g4 laptop. Please tell me what kind of screw I need to install this SSD (I need information about the marking of the screw to buy it).

Hi:
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook:
h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05779586.pdf
Chapter 5, page 40 has the description of the M.2 SSD hold down screw you need:
M2*2 screw.
That would be a Philips head 2 mm in diameter x 2 mm long screw.
If you have any local PC shops in your town, see if they will give you one.
