I just purchased this laptop. When I try to register it HP says the warranty is expired.  It has only been out of the box a few days.

Hi:

 

HP starts the warranty clock ticking the minute the PC leaves the assembly plant.

 

So, the longer the PC sits unsold, the less time remains on the warranty.

 

You have two options to try and get the warranty start and end dates adjusted.

 

1. Submit an online warranty dispute form.

2. Contact HP support and work with a customer service rep to get the warranty start and end dates adjusted.
