Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I replaced my battery yesterday and while I was using it I decided to calibrate it as per these instructions.

Sadly after doing so, the laptop won't charge and is stuck at 3% when plugged in. I've tried resetting and removing the battery to no avail. 

 

When I run the hardware diagnostics for the battery on my desktop, the screen shuts off and the caps lock button blinks 8 times. Five slow and three fast. 

When I run the diagnostics on start up it says the battery is too hot yet it's as cool as a cucumber. 

 

What could be the issue here?
