Hello. My laptop after plugging in suddenly stops charging for a few seconds and then resumes charging again(it shows in windows as if the charger isn't connected and the charging light by the side of the laptop goes off). It's only for about 2 seconds but the performance hit is obvious which makes it annoying. This happens about every 2-3 minutes over the entire course of charging except/until the laptop is fully charged. I thought it might just be the charger but this only happens when it's in use i.e if the laptop's off or in sleep this doesn't happen. I've tried a different power source but it's still happens. The only time it doesn't happen is if I use my brother's charger but they both seem to have the same output 19.5v 2.31A and 45w.(I've only tried it once so I may need to confirm- try- this again) But it doesn't happen to his laptop if he uses my charger which just makes it weird. Buying a new charger isn't exactly a problem but I still want to find the root cause of this. Please let me know if there's any info I could provide about the laptop or chargers and I'll get to it. Thanks.

Ok so this definitely doesn't happen with my brother's charger so maybe its on the charger but it also doesn't happen with my brother's laptop when he uses my charger.

I've tried reinstalling the  battery drivers, resetting default power schemes and power options to no avail , anyway you could be of help @Paul_Tikkanen or anyone else who happens to see this post please? Again thanks in advance.

Even if no one answered, I apologize for bothering you Paul. The charger was indeed the culprit and my brother just didn't notice it on time as well as the charger indicator wasn't reflecting it, probably because it happens so fast. I'll leave this here.
